JAMMU, 15 June: Bahu Fort Police have solved three theft cases by recovering a stolen mobile phone along with accessories and cash.
According to police sources, on May 23 this year, Bathindi Police Station received a written complaint regarding the theft of 6 mobile phones, accessories as well as cash from a mobile shop in Bathindi.
Following the complaint, a case under FIR number 143/2022 under IPC Sections 457 and 380 was registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and an investigation was initiated.
To elucidate the case, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station led by Inspector SHO Nayat Ali and assisted by Bathindi Police Station PSI Mohammad Younis Khanday was formed under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and from SP South Mamta Sharma.
The team exerted strenuous efforts and after connecting various leads and timely human intervention finally apprehended the thief, who was identified as Muzamil Butt, son of Mohammad Sadiq Butt from Phagsoo Thathri District in Doda, currently Azad settlement in Sunjwan district of Jammu.
Upon disclosure, all stolen cell phones along with accessories and money were recovered.
During further questioning, he revealed his involvement in a robbery case at J&K Grameen Bank Malik Market Narwal Jammu which took place on March 9 this year and FIR case number 75/2022 under Sections 457 , 380 and 511 IPC is registered at the Bahu police station. Strong. In this theft case, he committed the crime with a young associate who was also apprehended by the police.
Furthermore, he confessed his involvement in stealing cash from another store in Doogiyan Bathindi, in which case FIR number 102/2022 under IPC Sections 457 and 380 is already registered.
A new interrogation of the defendants is underway to verify their involvement in other cases.
