Police arrested two people, including a minor, for allegedly stealing 19 cellphones, a smartwatch and two headphones. The stolen items were recovered from their possession.

The victim, Kapil Dev of Mohali, had reported a burglary at his store in the quiet offices of Sector 35-A on May 21.

A case of theft was then registered at the police station of sector 36.

As part of their investigation, the Sector 35 police team observed two people suspiciously carrying mobile phones in a backpack. After verification, the cell phones were stolen.

The accused, 21-year-old Deepender of Industrial Zone Phase 2, was arrested while the minor was apprehended. The latter was sent to a home for minors while the other defendant was presented in court and remanded in custody until Monday.
